Thursday we will be attending the OPS Fine Arts Festival at the RiverPark.
No School this Friday. Friday starts our SPRING BREAK! If you do not have any plans for the break you might want to check with the public library and the science museum. Both places usually offer some exciting activities during breaks. A good thing to do each night is have your child write about what he or she did for the day and collect their entries in a journal. Please make sure they continue to read at least 15 minutes each day over the break.
When we get back we will start MAP testing.
Math: Fractions
Language Arts: Superhero short story
Social Studies: geography
Science: Forms of energy
Homework every night is to study the multiplication and division facts that are stapled in the red folder. We need you to test your child every night, so they will be fluent when it is time for testing.

Spring Break is coming

Sorry for the lack of updates lately I have been extremely busy. I was in Frankfort one day accepting an award for being a Nationally Certified Teacher and one week I was in Washington, DC with my oldest son Baron.
Please keep working with your child on his or her multiplication. We are starting division in the near future. Make sure your child is also reading for 15 minutes a night. This Saturday night Mr. DeLacey and myself will be attending a WWE wrestling event with 17 students from Cravens. I will make sure to post some pictures of the event on the blog next week.
