My sister has a fourth of the amount of my Mom. My mom has $20. How much money do I have in my account? What about my Dad and my sister? How much do we all have combined?

The pizza party is half the amount of a magic show. The magic show is a fourth the cost of the bounce house. The bounce house costs $200 to rent. How much will each of the following cost: magic show, pizza party and the rewards party? How much would it cost to have all of the parties? Mrs. Flagg and Mr. Lyddane decide to split the bill. How much would each have to pay?

Math Challenge 5
You guys are working for the Williams Construction Company. You are going to have to know how to use a ruler and how to figure out the area of a rectangle. I cannot afford to have any mistakes or I will lose business. Do a good job and I will promote you to a general contractor. Make a mistake and I will have to let you go.
1 inch = 1 foot. I need for you to sketch the following dimensions for the rooms we will need to floor. A square foot of floor costs $5.
1. Get your ruler out and sketch the area of this floor plan and then figure out what it will cost the homeowners. The length of the floor is 7 feet and the width is 8 feet. Remember that you will have to use inches to sketch the floor plan.
2. Okay now that you know what you are doing I will be giving fewer directions. Sketch the area of the dining room. The dimensions are 8 feet in length and 9 feet in width. What is the area and cost of the room?

could travel 4ft. during the day before he needed to go to sleep at night. While
he was sleeping he would slide back 2 feet. How many days will it take him to
reach the delicious sandwich?

Dr. Vick wants to make sure the concession stands at all of
the gyms are making a profit. Popcorn seems to be the best seller at all of the
concession stands. A 2 pound bag of
popcorn costs $5.00 at Wal-Mart. You can make 20 bags of popcorn from the 2
pound bag of popcorn. The concession stand charges 50 cent per bag. How much of
a profit are the gyms making off of the 2 pound bag of popcorn? Also, Dr. Vick
wants to know how many bags of popcorn to buy if we want to make a 25 dollar
profit?

Target has the new Wii-U for sale for $250. You and your
brother have been saving for a long time. You have $68 and your brother has $62.
If your brother receives $5 a week for allowance and you receive $5 a week for

How many hamburgers will they have to sell to make a $20 dollar profit. Remember you have to factor in what ground beef costs to help you solve this profit problem?

1. One day a snail fell into a well and he was determined to get back to his family. The well was 10 feet tall. Every morning he would climb 2 feet, but a night he would slide back one foot. How many days did he take for him to reach the top of the well?
2. Ellis Park is getting ready for the new horse racing season. They are looking to build some new stables. Each new stable can hold 9 horses. It looks like there will be 270 horses at the park. How many stables will they need to build?
3. Ellis Park is also revamping their food selections with higher price hot dogs. They want to make a profit so we need to calculate this right the first time. They can buy a package of good quality hot dogs for $10.00. Each package holds 5 hot dogs. If the park wants to make a $10 profit from each package, how much will they have to charge for each hot dog? Remember to make a profit you have to consider how much you paid for the product.
